The submissions period for Issue No. Two of Black Rabbit is now open. We will be accepting the following:
One short story of 1,000-1,500 words (that word limit being pretty flexible) with a literary tone and weird tendencies. For reference, to see what kind of things we like, check out Issue No. One. If in doubt send it to us.
One poem of a maximum of three pages. Please submit no more than three poems at a time. The same general style and substance as the above fiction piece.
One collage or assemblage in any medium. We like thematically dark stuff, but are excited to see anything you think will fit in our publication.
One work of conceptual, non-representational photography. Black and white film photography preferred, but not required.
We are happy to be able to pay $25 for each of the above.
In addition, Black Rabbit is always accepting abstract expressionist paintings for use in cover art. Sadly we cannot offer compensation for these, much as we want to.
As always, Black Rabbit is linked at the hip to its editors’ and readers’ overwhelming ADHD, and as such, though we the editors are more than happy to look at anything that fits within the above guidelines, we tend to prefer immediately punchy art and writing.
Please direct all submissions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please direct any questions you might have to email@example.com. This submission period ends June 21st. We look forward to seeing your work.
